We hope you are all enjoying the fresh start of a new year! I enjoy hanging up a new calendar and flipping to January 1. It reminds me of what Jesus has done for each of us who turn to Him in repentance and seek that brand new life! Starting fresh adds a bounce to our step, a warm glow in our heart and a smile in our eyes!

Our family finally met Mr. Covid-19, right before Christmas. He was an unwelcome visitor and we were glad when he decided to move on. Don't believe we'll have him back. (Praying he stays away for good!)

Thankfully, we were able to come out of hiding and be among the living just in time for New Year's Eve! CVE is so much smaller now than when we first visited. But we know God is working things out and trust Him with the future of CVE! Jodi and Seth taught me a new card game called "Canada Salad". Quite the name, but it was really fun to play! And I even squeaked out a beginner's luck win!

Adam (Andy's brother) arrived just in time to help us move December 18. We had great help moving us from little Saguaro to GRANDE Palo Fierro. Its a house with 7 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. A very spacious laundry room and kitchen are so nice to have! I marvel again at what God has provided. You know that feeling of disappointment when you don't get something you have your mind set on? When we arrived in July, the house that we planned to move into was already taken. So we started out in the Grandparent's house (2 bedroom, 2 bath) and then into Saguaro (3 bedroom, 3 bath) and now to Palo Fierro. It is amazing how God works out details in other's lives simultaneously with how He is working the details out in our lives!

Andy's first day back at work was today. He is working at Burgers all this week, to fill in for some on vacation leave. He said it was busy for a Monday! Thankful for that!
Some of you are probably wondering about the weather here. Most days, a blue sky with clouds will be present. I think I can remember less than 5 days where it was overcast. For someone who has dealt with dark days and depression in the past, this has been such a gift! The mornings are chilly and the afternoons between 60-75 Fahrenheit. Maybe I rely on the warmth and sunshine a little too much, but if I ever feel like the motivation is not there to do housework, I go outside on a walk with Indi and always come back refreshed and focused.

It has been fun having Uncle Adam here. Sunday we were able to go out, just the adults, to a taco stand we'd been wanting to try in the town of Imuris. It didn't disappoint!

There's been many other tacos stands that we've tried with him. He got comfortable enough to drive our van around Magdalena and try out different places and let us know what he thought! So we have our own personal food critic, telling us what is good and what is just okay.

Our kids are in charge of feeding the pigs while another employee is on vacation. They have surprised me with how well they remember to do it! Indi is cleaning up the leftovers.
Please be prayerful for the kids here as next week they will return to school, Lord Willing. Specifically for strong friendships, clear and focused minds and the ability to be able to comprehend. We are thankful for the teachers and tutors here. Everyone is doing such a great job.
I'll close this short post now. I hope to write more often with shorter posts. Doesn't seem like a chore then! Happy New Blessed Year!
